FORCE, ELECTRIC YOUTH, PULSE & SYNCRO TROUPES​

All Dance Zone Troupes dance a mandatory 5.5 hrs per week, for a 30-week session.

Our Basic Troupe program includes 2 hours of Jazz/Lyrical, 1 hour of Tap, 1 hour of Ballet and 1.5 hours of Elevate, a class that focuses on technique, stretching, turning, etc.

Programs such as Hip Hop, Contemporary/Modern, Flexibility Strengthening and Acro are highly encouraged on top of their basic troupe classes, however not mandatory.

Troupe members are expected to attend classes regularly and be committed to making Troupe a priority over social events. Attendance is an important aspect of being a team player and encourages your troupe to excel.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION​

• Our Troupe program participates in 2 recitals, 3 local dance competitions, and 1 away dance competition. All Troupe dancers also have the opportunity to register for 2-3 additional competitions.

​

• All Troupe members are required to purchase our black team jacket/hoodie to wear at all competitions & events. This will be available for order in late Spring, with fall arrival.​​

​

• All Troupe members will be required to purchase a pair of performance earrings to wear on stage at recitals and competitions. If required for costumes, all dancers will also be required to purchase a pair of beige performance tights.​

​

• Production - All Troupe members dance together in a competitive Production routine. The schedule for the mandatory practices will be posted in the fall and will be on Fridays and/or Sundays. Dancers are required to wear all black to these rehearsals for uniformity. *Fees for this are included in your costume/event fees and regular class fees

• Extra Routines - Troupe dancers have the option of registering for solos, duos, trios & small groups with other dancers of their choice. The Troupe limit for extra routines is 6 Solos/Duos/Trios and 2 Small Groups.

​

• Troupe Awards Banquet - held at the end of the season to recognize our Troupe graduates and present our Troupe students with scholarships, as well as most improved and attendance awards for each troupe.

• Outside Competitions - Troupe students involvement in outside competitions in addition to what is designated for Dance Zone will be decided at the discretion of Dance Zone directors. Please note: Participation in High school dance teams is permitted, however, Dance Zone dancers are not permitted to compete at competitions with the dance team.

*Dancers in other competitive classes (IE: Contemp/Modern), will also compete those routines at the 3 spring competitions.
